Tech Rep
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Effective use of technical selling skills and product knowledge of industrial minerals and their applications.
- Sell consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects and Customers of the various solutions the company offers to their business issues.
- Develop annual business plan in conjunction with Director of Sales and Marketing, which details activities to follow during the fiscal year, focusing on territory revenue and profit growth.
- Develop new business opportunities which support established long-range growth targets.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of customer pricing and proposal dynamics.
- Develop and maintains a CRM database, qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling on business owners, email, and networking.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up.
- Maintain contact with all clients in the Region to ensure high levels of Customer Satisfaction.
- Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values.
- Proactively establish and maintain effective working relationships with all support departments.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial minerals and/or specialty chemical sales preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemistry, or related field.
- Strong technical acumen.
- Demonstrated success in sales planning, execution and growth.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Reside within Southern California or surrounding area
